Why did you decide to be a part of the 2019 London PA Awards?
Having been involved before as a nominee, and the winner of the 2018 PA of the Year (MissJones) Awards, I understand the process and it would be a great honour to encourage and support the next nominees!
I also coach and mentor PAs and EAs and am passionate about helping people develop their careers in this industry.
Which attributes do you feel make PA’s so fundamental in 2019?
Adaptability, flexibility, and the fact that we are real humans who understand emotions, egos and pressures.
Which skills do PA’s need, now more than ever?
Ability to change quickly, respond quickly, and deliver - also, in this world of fake news and data breaches, confidentiality and discretion is key.
If you could change or further support the PA community in any way, what would you do?
I would encourage PA's to start to plot their career- who would they like to work for, and why, which sector, and how do they want to grow? What will be their next career move?
Also to give them encouragement to negotiate their salary packages and ask for what they are worth.
What is your proudest career moment so far?
I think winning PA of the Year and also being asked to speak at so many amazing events and conferences and having the opportunity to meet so many outstanding and inspiring PAs and EAs!
What is your personal goal for 2019?
Personal rather than work related- I'd really like to learn how to roller skate backwards!
