Please tell us the key demands of your role?

Event planning and organising, Diary management, Travel

Why do you believe that you should be shortlisted or, give us an example of when you have demonstrated the abilities attributed to your category?

When a PA in my team had fallen poorly and need to take some time off work, she was in the process of starting to organise an event for one of her fee-earners. I took over running this event with no information and had to jump in. I had limited time to get everything prepared but I was determined to make sure everything was set up and ready to go.

Events we run in Financial Regulation can take anything up to a month organising, I only had a few days to get the event finalised and core decisions were still to be made. I was able to organise the event within a couple of days as well as still providing support to my team and covering for other PAs. We got really positive feedback from the clients and the fee-earner in question was really happy with everything which was a great result.

For me, it was important that the PA in my team who had unfortunately fallen poorly felt supported whilst she was out of the office as I believe teamwork is key to a PA role.

If you had one superpower for your role as a PA, what would it be?

If I could have one super power as a PA it would be to have echo location so I would be able to tell from my desk where my fee-earners are when they should be in meetings/calls.
